SBC Internet and ISDN for big business

Hey, we have SBC calling us they are offering a compeditive bid to beat our other lowest bid. They are including Internet 512 or Full T-1. What do you think of their internet. I know there DSL is not the best esp when it comes to email. I keep my own email server, but have my systems relay out through the ISP's. Currently we have SBC dsl & UUNET sDSL. SBC does not work for us for email. UUNET sDSL does. I guess we could just keep our server running and fully use it. or given the price, keep a second ISP as a backup in general. Off Topic

I am looking to create a small buisness linux package consisting of small buisness server and client software. There are clearly some linux packages that stand out from others and work well in a buisness environment. Some examples are Open Office, Mozilla Suite, Apache Web Server, LAMP, etc. I work from a user perspective most of the time. I can install and configure most linux software. I have found the task of reading, configuration, and writing scripts tedious and sometimes very time consuming. I am better at project coordination, implementation and completion. I am interested in indivduals who are interested in the possiblity of future contract work. I would like to know your strengths and examples of work (ie, web client). Contact me off list for details. The DVD spindles have half as many and they will twice as much time to burn. For your old PC, you prolly need the syslinux-based DamnSmall .iso image. I had a similar problem on my laptop after version 0.8. Prices

I am being approached by the company I just left to do PC repair, maintenance and etc. for them. They have someone else in this position that doesn't know what they are doing. They wouldn't give me the job. Now that I have left they need help. What is the going rate for a Business. I do work for individuals in my spare time and try to charge a modest amount but this is different. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Denise

At the risk of being obvious, follow the new translator's HOWTO, found at the link you provided. I've read through quite a bit of it before and it all seemed reasonable. With i18n and l10n manual translation for most open source programs, there is a .pot or .po file or files that must be translated first. These typically contain error messages, button labels and menu labels. Start at the beginning of the HOWTO and read it through a few times. Keep referring to it. Ask if you need help understanding specific parts of the translation HOWTO. Making new language for kde?

Hi, I've checked http://i18n.kde.org to search my languange localization but it seems nothing build yet. I have a plan to traslate it my self then i download KBabel Tools, but I confuse where I must start, theres so many files. :( May somenone know how to doing this, or at least, may I could know a few tricks to change just few english words of KDE, such change "RUN", "APPLICATIONS", "CONTROL CENTER", etc. Thank you so much.. Linux health monitoring

We here at work are at the mercy of the Linux Administrators to do their jobs. Since they can't seem to do this and our /var partition ran out of space Friday our Oracle Applications crashed. It looks like we will have to monitor the health of our RH Enterprise 2.x server to make sure this doesn't happen again. Is there any good piece of free open source software that does such a job? Thanks
