PJ over at Groklaw is calling for anyone who has access to the Unix SysV r.4.2 MP errno.h file. She wants to see a comparison with the post USL v. UCB Unix/BSD litigation. so that would be BSD 4.4 or better. Anyone have access to such a version? She's trying to pick apart someone's outrageous claim. Why? I don't know. He's on third. Thanks, Jack

Is there a free service that would make this work?
by Brian Kelsay 24 Mar '11

http://www.gearxs.com/gearxs/product_info.php?products_id=14618 $20 VoIP phone I thought about getting one of these. I don't need it, but I thought it would be cool to mess with. Does anyone know of a free service that would route one or two VoIP phones? I imagine it would work with Skype, but is there a way to get it to work with Google Voice and get an outside number? Would you have to set up an Asterisk server? Item uses H.323 protocol - Works with Gatekeepers and Gateways - Enable P2P (Peer-to-peer) connections without Gatekeepers and Gateways - *Dialing Method:* - Phone to phone - Address translated via H.323 Gatekeeper It's been a while since I thought about VoIP, and all I could remember was the Asterisk (Asterix) server as a possiblity. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Howdy All - My name is Thomas Cameron, and I'm the managing solutions architect for the central US here at Red Hat. I have a job opening in KC for a solutions architect. The Red Hat solutions architect is responsible for being a subject matter expert in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (including virtualization, clustering, high availability, etc.), Red Hat's systems management solutions, Red Hat's identity management solutions, Red Hat's virtualization platform, Linux security , performance tuning and so on. Many of my team members, including myself, are Red Hat Certified Architects. We're an incredibly technical team, and I'm very, very proud to work with them. We evangelize Free/Open Source Software to current and potential customers, from highly technical deep dive sysadmins to CTOs. We're articulate, we present well, we understand and we can communicate the value of Red Hat to these customers. I need someone who has the potential for greatness. If you're willing to work and train your ass off to get to the top of your game, if you're a F/OSS evangelist, and you're ready to step up and help take Red Hat to a billion dollar company, drop me a line. The position is typical entry level tech support but will have several linux open source projects as well. Here's the link. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/tch/2245451507.html We're keeping the company name private for the posting to cut down of the flood of phone inquiries. Thanks!

Tablet PC guidance
by Haworth, Michael A. 02 Mar '11

02 Mar '11

I have recently acquired an older tablet PC (Acer TravelMate C100). I am looking to create a mobile workpad out of it as a proof of concept for some upcoming projects... I have Xubuntu installed on it (Fedora threw a temper-tantrum because of the limited RAM) and it is recognizing the stylus, but when I rotate the screen into tablet mode the touchpad and stylus inputs freak out - is there any way to tell the two of them to rotate their inputs by 90 degrees (I am probably just not seeing the correct control)? I am hoping to bring it on Wed. to the LUG meeting to see if I can get some more accomplished with it.
