I thought you didn't believe in God. And I believe you did mention picking either top or bottom posting. Not to poke with a short stick, but you did mention it...

God damn it, man! If you are going to post a reply to a thread it just *MIGHT* help to read the first *three* times I said that this *IS NOT* about top vs. bottom posting. Speaking of being lazy... absolutely amazing.

Doesn't mean I can't use euphemisms. :)

I mentioned it because I was asking you to pick one of them and stick with it.

Maybe he doesn't, but the fact remains that God still exists. To not believe in Him at all requires a lot of ignorance, so unless one is working hard to ignore God's existence, the fact will likely slip through once in a while... as was probably the case here.

I may be a provocateur but even I know that responding to this email is out of the question.
awww...comeon...we debate both religion and politics ALL the time on the MLUG discussion list, but that is part of the reason that there's two lists instead of just one.

p.s., we're all atheists, I just believe in one LESS god than you do...

While I appreciate the laughs the 'Test' thread has generated in light of the comments on formatting and religion, I would much prefer to read items of interest to Linux. As such, I hope that this will be one of my few 'off topic' posts.
I take your comments below to be a generalization to illicit responses as we have a *choice* on what to believe (and what email threads to read,) just as we have a choice on Linux versions to employ. I just happen to prefer Red Hat and Debian versions. Just as I believe there is One God, my Creator, and Redeemer. (Not that the later is any way an insignificant choice.)

Well, while my comments are probably entirely inappropriate for this list, I have a hard time feeling bad about making them in a thread as pointless as the "test" thread. Frankly, I *like* to argue and debate, but would not choose to do so about a topic that I didn't care about, so I attempt to make the topic one that's at least worth arguing about, however inappropriate the forum.
Of the 661 messages that I have archived since 10/05 for this list, the "test" thread is both one of the longest and one of the most inane.
To see what I define as an "interesting" debate (about religion), as well as provide a decent summary of my regard for other's beliefs: http://mlug.missouri.edu/list-archives/discussion/2004-05/msg00087.php3 Here I suggested we actually take the debate off-list, and was discouraged from doing so in: http://mlug.missouri.edu/list-archives/discussion/2004-05/msg00091.php3
Anyone that would like to review my public debates on the matter of religion (or politics, for that matter): http://www.google.com/search?q=%22rick%20buford%22%20religion%20site%3Amlug....
Lastly, save that spot on your kill list, as I am leaving KC and do not see the continued value of remaining on this list. The two notable threads that I've seen in the last six months were more concerned with one's posting syntax than anything linux related. If you'd like to argue further, or just yell obscenities at me, please feel free to join the MLUG discussion list. It gets quite lively =)

While there is certainly a *technical* choice given to us, the only *valid* choices are those which are in correspondance with the truth. A bad choice is still bad and not acceptable. An example would be the very bad choices to rape, murder, or such, which will land you in jail for possibly your entire life. Another example would be the even worse choice to adhere to heresy or such, which will land you in Hell for all eternity. As a result, while they are still technically possible choices, they are foolish ones at best. I suggest sticking with licit choices.
(and what email threads to read,) just as we have a choice on Linux versions to employ.
Quite a difference. If there was one perfect OS, it would be a foolish choice to use any other. However, since there are many OS with varying degrees of perfection, there is a choice to be made for which one to deal with the imperfections of.
Just as I believe there is One God, my Creator, and Redeemer. (Not that the later is any way an insignificant choice.)
Regardless of what you believe, the one God would still be your Creator. Of course, whether He is your Redeemer or not does actually depend on choices you make, but either way He is still *potentially* the Redeemer of even the atheist who does not believe in Him.

[insert blasphemy of the holy spirit]
There, I've committed the one unforgivable sin. I'm going to hell, end of story. Now leave me alone.

Is this a list for Linux or a list for people to spot bullshit about religious crap?
Your superstitions do nothing for me or my server.
Thanks to everybody who responded to my question about wireless cards. I'm still trying to figure out what I need to do, but your suggestions are a good starting point.

True enough.
Unless, of course, we're talking about the 99% of human history before the modern, salvationist God was invente ... errr, I mean, ... before the modern salvationist God decided to start making it so hard to ignore His Existence that us humans have had to start working so hard to do it successfully ...
