Anyone knows what's happening here? Does someone on the list use a web filter? or is some one monitoring this list?
Cause I sure don't have any filters.

Well, for some reason when I reply to the list, I get this back. Again, please don't take this wrong. If it were me, I would want to know what's up. Maybe I'm reading it wrong??

Arthur,
I just wanted to let you know that your mail filter at Westrope will not allow anything they consider profanity through the pipe and therefore, you might not be getting certain emails because of this.
I have received a few returns from "Administrator@westrope.com" for content violations. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I respect your right to not view certain material if this is your choice. On the other hand, if you did not choose this, or someone chose this for you, I thought you should know.
I only use this address for mailing lists. It's a simple Gmail account. I'm not aware of any mail filter at Westrope.

I don't want to come off sounding like the leader of the tin-foil hat squad, but doesn't it sound just a little suspicious that messages bagging on M$ are being squashed by some mysterious web filtering that nobody knows anything about???

Arthur,
I could be wrong but it seems like you have 2 email addresses listed in the KCLUG group. One for Gmail and one for your office? If someone writes a post and puts a dirty word in the message body, the copy going through the email box at Westrope gets filtered and any message with questionable material gets redirected to the equivalent of /dev/null. You get the Gmail message fine, but I don't think your getting the messages at Westrope. I am assuming you work at Westrope. Just a guess but seems reasonable.

Dude, I'm telling you. I only use this gmail account for mailing lists. And I don't work at Westrope. Nor do I have multiple addresses for this list. Something weird is going on.

I would suggest that the original sender needs to look closely at the routing headers on the original message. Is he perhaps sending mail from a server other than gmail, with a gmail return address?
If he were actually sending from gmail to kclug directly, it wouldn't make any sense.
Whoops.. That would be my domain. We have a content filter on my work email and that's where I subscribe...
So, I guess anybody who sends to the list gets reply's from my domain when there is profanity in the message. I don't think that Sophos PureMessage has a whitelist for content filtering. It's a rather all or nothing policy.

Does anyone know if there is any way to create a folder in Gmail and then automatically move new messages to that folder when they arrive? Looks like you can only apply labels, and manually at that...
I would be happy to change my subscription if I could do that...

I never figured out how to create new folders, but you can automatically label things using the filters section of the settings screen (upper right corner by the login information on my screen).

Labels == Folders in Gmail
Content filter notices shouldn't be a problem anymore I just switch to gmail.
Sorry about the messages, should have done this a long time ago.
No problem. And my apologies again to Arthur. For some reason I though it was from him.
