Why, it's braggin' O'course. But, it's nothing compared to what we'll have to deal with in several years when me wee coleen joins the list. She's a natural born red-haired Irish Lass! There are many to choose from and most or all dictionaries are probably missing quite a few of them; I question the credentials of some of those experts who write dictionaries. I've often found mistakes in word meanings in dictionaries,; which is inevitable when a language adopts foreign words and the "experts" don't understand the language or are not antive speakers, or when words have foggy "at best" sources from which to find the meaning. But if it's written in print it must be true, eh? Again we are faced with the truism that word meanings change. I naturally got your point (sorry that you misunderstood my point of taking to a level of absurdity). Of course calling oneself a hacker in certain groups can elicit the type of response you speak of. That doesn't necessarily negate one and being a hacker. If you walk into a room full of well-known hackers and you are unknown to them and call yourself a hacker, well what would you expect? Oddly, I sent this early, before I started drinking and it made a sort of sense. Then this morning after nearly 10 hours of drinking yesterday, I have no idea what it means. I didn't see any of you guys down at Westport, so what happened to you. A good time was had by all. Somebody want to define "faded"? That's what I was last night and this morning. I guess on natural language processing he and I find some common ground. Does anyone want the domain names: whitewig.org and whitewig.net? I stumbled across the term as a neoligism meaning "ethically motivated hackers who work entirely within the law; the whitehats of the whitehats" about a year ago, and liked it. I had plans to develop a micro manifesto on whitewig hacking, but it's a year later and the domain names are about to expire and I haven't done it. I had the hard lesson once of letting go of a quality 5-letter domain name because I was done with it, only to watch it get snapped up by a domain house, who later offered to sell it back to me for $500. Yech. So I'm offering these if anyone wants em. Who's got a micro manifesto on these issues, just waiting for a domain name? I'm just a squatter on your blog; take'm, please; they expire in April. -Jared
