I unfortunately will have to see it, just for the completeness thing. Not like TLoR trilogy, which was really very good and the extended versions are even better. It would have been nice to have done the Hobbit also.

Which brings up the topic, was there a novel for Star Wars story before the movie? Or was it just a script? I assume Stevie choose to start in the middle for a reason (like the beginning part was boring).

Stevie? You mean George? Yes, it was a script first and book later, as far as I know. The first 2 episodes didn't have to be boring, he let them be.

That depends on if you count the SciFi channel miniseries which contained parts of Dune Messiah and Children of Dune. I like the SciFi miniseries. I think the only down side is that the worms aren't as impressive as the Lynch movie. I like using the worm scenes from the Lynch movie to show off my subwolfer. :-)
