You're not going to find parallel port capability in that range either.
I thought there was USB support in the 2.4.x kernel and up.
Anything in that price range is strictly a loss-leader meant to sell ink cartridges. I wouldn't expect it to last two years.
In two years I'll have another $50 to spend on a printer... :(
