He wrote one of the first howtos I read for making a timeshifting PC for radio I think, possibly for that and TV. Among other articles on Varlinux.org i think he has written freelance for Linux Journal besides the other places mentioned.

That reminds me. Does anyone have any connections w/ Nick Petreley? In a recent article, he talked about flying back to visit Missouri. I was wondering if it was through St. Louis or Kansas City. If anyone knows,
