You need to run mkdev hd and feed in the parameters for the drive, then will probably need to reboot and run it again to create the filesystem. If you've added this second drive to the same controller, the parameters should all be the same as the existing drive, except for the id= value. You can get the existing drive's parameters with the hwconfig command. Let me know if you need help with this.
