Well then you must have been using an Altair PC. They really flubbed
that free bit of advertising.
"How about Global Thermonuclear War?"
Or we could just play Tic-Tac-Toe.
Anyone know where to buy a remote controlled Pterodactyl?
Captain Crunch …
[View More]whistle? You'll notice they replaced the
Captain Crunch whistle in the movie with a stupid piece of metal to
"short" the receiver.
BTW, I understand they still work, but don't try it. You'll find yourself
talking to an operator very quickly.
Ah, memories.

Oracle + PHP
The open source scripting language PHP is becoming one of the world's
most popular web application programming languages. And with Oracle's
announcement last summer that Oracle Application Server will include a
version of PHP, it will become an even more relevant choice for
developers who want to get their applications off the ground quickly and
easily.

Hmmph! Well, I'll be damned! All these years I thought it was an
Altair.
Well, learn something new every day.
Check out those hardware specs! Awesome Dude!

The IMSAI 8080 used an Intel 8080A processor, and came as a base unit with 4K RAM. I/O was through front panel switches and LED's, without additional peripherals. It was once the fastest selling microcomputer. It had an S-100 bus with 22 expansion slots...

Was that an Altair or an IMSAI?

What would make double NAT fail? fyi: works in my home just fine though
two Linux iptables setups for something I was playing with. Then again
NAT on Linux may be better than that in a hardware firewall?
Hmmm what's the association with the MTU setting? And just where is
this set in the dsl modem and in windows? "just works" with Linux...
too bad this system isn't fully under my control to do "right". How do
you find the "right" MTU setting?
A friend of mine who worked for AT&T had one of those! First time I got to see Unix as my father didn't get to buy everything he wanted. He worked for IBM and won a suggestion award that paid for a Furnace, air conditioner and his XT with a 10mb hard drive. He said he wanted a second hard drive (for Minux) and a cga moniter. How much farther ahead would I be if I'd picked up on more Unix and Minux, rather than toying with the speech synthesis!
Anyone say "shall we play a game"
Thanks …

I thought that might be the case after reading some bug reports on
OO's website. But I'm not doing even-odd (right-left) pages.
One thing I do notice is that some pages are page style first page,
others are default. In online layout mode, I have two pages instead of
109. If I open up print preview and then close I suddenly get 117 pages!
The extra 8 pages being the ones that I can delete and have them magically
reappear. How do I determine if I have a page break as opposed to a section break?
Also some pages with tables don't allow me to alter the page. Now you must realize,
I did nothing special in creating this document. Everything was using the defaults
of OO.
