He was the guy that introduced me to the entire linux world back in 2006, am still doing so enthusiastically. For a dude that was so... cranky about religion, to make his exit on Easter Sunday seems like it may just have some significance..... I just haven't the faintest idea what it might be. important lesson learned from installing Ubuntu from a stick

during the install, the stick is /dev/sda and the target hard drive is /dev/sdb. This is important to have straight at the final phase -- grub installation -- otherwise one winds up with a system that requires the stick to boot. Hi everyone, I just noticed that January's meetings are scheduled on the website such that the first meeting of the month falls on January 1st. May I make a motion that we slide those meetings down to the Wed. January the 7th and Tue. January 20th? After all, who will show up on New Year's Day???
