So, do you get the HDTV signal from the air or can you get it from your cable connection? What is the total cost of the card? Thanks, but I'm not launching it from my own crontab and don't think it's a good idea to mess with the system crontab. For some reason my brain drew a blank on the redirect pipe to add to my script to track the progress. You could modify the daily entry (or temporarily mv your script to /etc/cron.hourly) as part of your debugging process. I have to believe the script is being kicked off by cron but, as someone else has noted, may have a PATH problem or other environmental variable problem of some sort. Or, just to make sure, the ID that your blacklist script runs under does have permission to update the blacklist hold file, right? Cron

Ok, I added my blacklist script to the /etc/cron.daily subdirectory. I gave it the same ownership and rights as the other scripts in there. I am using the same shell to execute it. But it is not running, or if it is it is not updating the blacklist hold file. If I run it manually it works. I figured that since I was making it a "system" cron job that simply placing it in the directory would activate it. Apparently that isn't the case. I know I can create a root cronjob to do this, but I really wanted it to be part of the base system. What am I doing wrong? Brian Densmore

SGI has built a cluster of 10,000+ Intel chips. Clocked at ~43 Teraflops. They later submitted a mark of over 51 Teraflops. That's way better than NEC's Earth Simulator at 35. It's beaten IBM's latest number too, at 36. So where's Microsoft's entry? All we hear is silence there. OT: Cymor/Evil_machine

Was this the black and white motorcycle or the newer sport bike he was talking about recently? The black and white one was already pre-disastered.. It had some dents in the gas tank and several scuffs and scrapes. I think it had a bent chrome piece on it too. Hope he had some decent insurance on it. My dad had a spill on one of his bikes years ago and luckily only tore up the fairing. He was just a little bruised and had one spot of blood on the back of his hand of unknown origin. His snowmobile suit however took the brunt of the accident. My mom had to sew patches on the knees and elbows so he could wear it during deer season. Dad is a big guy, so an outfit like that was expensive and sometimes hard to find in his size. Dad still rides, but he no longer races on country roads.
