Hmmmm.... I _have_ updated KDE (all 3 times), and I guess I remember that 9.1 
doesn't have the KDE updates.  

When I have to do a clean, bottom-up install to do a version upgrade, I start 
looking at other distros.  After all, as long as I'm starting over...
