No. My 1.2 GHz Athlon took about a day or two (I think).

What doesn't OpenOffice like? When I've upgraded KDE and OpenOffice freaks
out, I just rerun the setup. I just upgrade to KDE 3.1.2 and haven't seen
a problem yet.

One thing I've noticed about the OpenOffice setup is it creates the
directory .kde2 under my home directory and puts some of its configuration
files in there. The .kde2 directory annoyed me and caused some useability
problems in KDE so I removed .kde2, made .kde2 a symlink to .kde3.1 and
reran the setup.
