Hello,
I am trying to remove PHP 4.3.0 from Solaris 9.
As a matter of fact, I installed this with Apache-2.0.44
One time, I installed successfully without any trouble with apache.
Now, I am trying to reconfigure this PHP for web mail stuff.
but, somehow, it won't allow me to remove this PHP.
The reason I am trying to remove this is that
perhaps, if I remove this PHP, then I may have better luck to configure and
make it with the option
--with-gettext=/usr/local/bin
When I tried to reconfigure with this option like:
./configure --with-mysql --with-apache=../apache_1.3.37 --enable-track-vars
--with-gettext=/usr/local/bin
it stops after a few lines like:
loading cache ./config.cache
checking for Cygwin environment ... no
checking for mingwiin32 environment ... no
checking for working sed ... sed
checking host system type...sparc-sun-solaris2.9
It waits forever.
I had to kill with "Ctrl + C" in order to get out of the prompt.
I tried to find any help from google search, but it seems like I am the only
one who has an weird problem.
I believe that at least there should be an uninstall tools on PHP.
Why I am messing with this system?
well, I have seen someone doing webmail in our KCLUG.
So, I am going to give it a shot.
Any comments will be appreciated.
Thanks!
