Check your /etc/ssh/sshd config file, and look for allowable
interfaces/IP. This has been an ongoing argument on the gentoo lists
about wether it is done right or wrong. Anyway the default is to allow
only 127.0.0.1/32 in. Comment out this line and your problem should be
gone.

    Here's another!

Although if some kind gentoo guru out there can help me with an sshd problem,
    I'd be much obliged...

I was able to ssh home from work for a long time, but after a recent emerge
world, I must have let etc-update go too far, and now it refuses to let me
ssh in, even though I *know* I am supplying the right password. Any ideas?
