Firewall - Problems

Funny... a similar thing happened to me a few days ago when I was using
iptables to forward traffic.  I'm not sure if its a buffer mismatch I hear
about when compiling the ethernet drivers or what.  Its happened to a
friend's box at an ISP and its annoying to say the least.
