smbmount question

When I mount our nt server(yea I know) here at work from my RedHat
UltraSparc my mount point, /nt, and everything below has 000
permissions. But when I connect from my RedHat p133 all file permissions
are fine. I can ls but nothing else.

I use the same command for both 
smbmount //LW2/InetPub /nt -o username=myusername

/nt has same permissions on both unmounted. Both dists are 6.2.

Any Ideas why this is? I did notice that sparc smbmount version is 2.0.7
and the p133 version is 2.0.6. mmm
