Passing on some recent deals I enjoyed recently on some linux-compatible
hardware. I'm not affiliated in any way with either of these, just
thought someone else might like to take advantage:
HP 8100/8150 series printers on e-bay: Currently several of these
large-format, work-horse printers (many with *DUPLEXERS*) are available
in KC for $340-$390 with $25 local pickup fee (not $125 shipping by
freight!). I'm going to pick mine up tomorrow! :)
Search for "laserjet (8100*,8150*) within 75 miles of a KC zipcode if
the following link doesn't work:

For the musically inclined, I recently got a good deal on an iRiver T30
from compgeeks (available in 512M for $30 and $1G for $50). These come
with firmware that requires Windows Media 10 for subscription downloads,
but they can be re-flashed to UMS firmware (looks just like a USB Memory
Stick, readily supported by linux) using a supported iRiver update
utility (ie: no hacking required!), *AND* these play OGG files, not just
MP3 (I refuse to use the now license encumbered MP3 format, and rip to
FLAC and OGG):

...they also have other flavors of iRiver devices available if you don't
like the T30s, just search for iRiver. NOTE: I don't know if anything
other than the T30s has UMS firmware supported/provided by iRiver.
