I believe one of the problems they have is that they have never done the same
kind of ground-up rewrite, they still have patches on their patches and are
still struggling with layer after layer of "if 2+2=5 then answer=4" cruft.
Then again, they've never really shown any interest in fixing bugs or
problems with the infrastructure. Mozilla/Mozaic/Firefox is all about
features!!!
