Just to make it clear, you never /ever/ want to encode from MP3 to OGG.
Going to lossy -> lossy is bad.

Also, you might find that 160 Kbps is about right. Beware of higher
bitrates; higher bitrates mean increased computational requirements.
Some of the OGG portable players can't handle more than 192 Kbps.
