Are you sure having "~/Maildir" in your .forward file is correct?  It
looks like exim is trying to deliver to an account called "~/Maildir" on
your local machine.  .forward files are usually used to redirect mail to
another address or to a command pipeline, e.g. for procmail filtering or
TMDA.
