virus scan question

Somebody asked about f-prot virus scan recently.  I think the idea was 
to scan a winders box while running a linux livecd.
I found this just now.

You can use f-prot : http://www.f-prot.com

Download it : http://www.f-prot.com/download/download_fplinux_personal.html
Uncompress the archive : in a terminal, type : tar -xzvf fp-linux-ws.tar.gz
Scan : type ./f-prot/fprot the_dir_to_scan (replace by the Windows hard 
drive mount point)
