Callisto looks pretty nifty, although it's geared more towards the 
accounting and sales end of things than being able to handle inventory 
and purchasing for production (as have most things I've found short of 
full ERP products).

They list a beta inventory add-on that might do what I need, and the 
price is right.  I've fired off an e-mail to their support folks to 
check on the current status of the inventory module.
