OpenOffice build on Gentoo / Determining how long it will take?

This is what "emerge openoffice-bin" is for.  It takes a few minutes
instead ofaf a few days.  Unless you are constantly using OpenOffice
(which I don't) the performance gain from compiling it yourself is not
worth it, IMO.
