IEEE1394 module not loaded

I finally got Cinelerra and Kino installed for editing digital video. 
However, when I try to capture video from my Sony digital video camera I
keep getting IEEE1394 module not loaded.  Is this something I need to load
manually?  How do I load a module?  I am using Mandrake 9.1
