Linux Multi-Media

This very well may be a newbie question but...

Is Mandrake better equipped for multi media ie., video editing, sound
editing, than say RedHat?

Every site I visit looking for certain rpm's or software seems to be geared
towards Mandrake.

I have been trying to install a midi package in RH9 and it some of the sound
drivers etc are readily available for Mandrake, yet rather scarce for
RedHat.

Just my thoughts...
