This shouldn't matter unless the cable is a "cable select" cable. A lot of
branded systems (Compaq, Dell, etc.) are starting to use this. As I recall,
it's as simple as using a hole punch to "break" two of the lines in the ribon
cable between the second and third connectors.
Many older drives didn't have "CS" as an address option, but if you jumper for
master and put the drive in the right place it works anyway, if your jumper
settings and cable position don't match it won't work (on a CS cable).
Usually CS cables are marked.
