I'm afraid color laserjets are your only option. Ink jets slowly build up
varnish inside the nozzles if not used constantly. If the ink jets are
part of the printer, not the replacement heads, you might be buying
printers on a regular basis.
The good news is color laserjets no longer cost $4999 and have to be
shipped on a solid oak pallet. They are much lighter and can be picked up
by ordinary people onto an ordinary sized desk. And I like laserjets,
because toner powder and drums are easy to get. Oh, they often do
postscript too!
Amazon.com is selling the HP2500L color laserjet for $745.69 My dad got
one of these. Pretty cool:
