the linux cluster I was setting up at beowulf.umkc.edu
before the budget cuts ran MOSIX, which can combine the
two approaches.

I believe Jared wants to have the cluster at 1732 be
part of a linux cybercafe installation.  IMO, running
LTSP+MOSIX on the donated P100s would work nicely.   And
there would be a classroom to have classes in, if anyone
wants to teach a programming class or hold linux seminars
or something like that.
