I was trying to keep him in the m4 universe, use the sendmail.mc format.
Since that's the way the default file is generated, hacking it directly can
have, um,. "unexpected consequences".

It took me a while to get used to using m4, but it works pretty well.  You
can even get all radical and build modular configurations for multiple
sites.
