I just bought the plugin myself. The registered copy hasn't given me any
problems at all. The demo, which I had been using for the last month or so,
occasionally gave me trouble. Basically, Quicktime would start within a web
page and then suddenly dissappear, leaving an empty white square where the
movie should be. However, reloading the web page usually got around the
problem. I haven't had that happen with the registered version. Also, the
only limitation of the demo is that an annoying little pop-up would
periodically appear over the playing video. It shouldn't disable after a
certain number of uses, because it never did for me :P.
I'm currently using Gentoo with kernel 2.4.17 (with the preempt patch, among
others). I use both Galeon and Mozilla and the plug-in works without a
problem in each.
