Fried NT workstation . . . . stupid question but . . . .

I did the "bad thing" of putting in a service pack yesterday - 6a on my NT 4.0
machine. I then installed some software that was griping that it needed
service pack 6. The software sucked, so I uninstalled it. Later I came back
and my PC was frozen. I rebooted and started getting complaints about
MSVCRT.DLL file. The Microsoft Knowledge base says I need these files from
another Win NT workstation with Service Pack 6A and Internet Explorer 5.5:

msvcrt.dll
msvcirt.dll
msvcrt20.dll
msvcrt40.dll

(Search knowledge base for "??_U at YAPAXI@Z" for how I found this out.)

Ugh. Anyone that can help me?

(Had to even use my Linux box just to get email!!)
