What's wrong with the security?

Security always has holes big enough to walk through.

Indeed, security is more interesting at the airports today. Last year I
took a round trip via Delta from Atlanta to Los Angeles without ID. It
might be more difficult to do that today.

When I was down there, I was a few miles from almost making the mistake of
crossing the border into Mexico in a rental car. Now that might have been
an adventure. How did I do all that without any kind of picture ID? My
credit card and a bit of social engineering.

I might add when they checked my laptop, they didn't even crack the cover.
I feared they might find out it wasn't a copy of Windows, but some hacker
operating system Mr. Gates warned us all about. Well, all they did was
just swab it with some chemical, like it was supposed to be a giant brick
of crack or something.

Lax security makes me feel very secure when traveling these days. NOT!
I prefer to ride my motorcycle. I feel much safer dealing with suicide
road rage bandits.

Oh, and don't get me started ranting about my experiences driving without
a driver's license. I recently made it a habit to carry mine, but I used
to see *way* too much trust in the system over several years. I feel
those who enforce security and law enforcement really need to start
following procedure religiously.

Talking about all this reminds me of passwords some people choose. :P
