Changing x servers

I'm trying to get a system installed with RedHat 7.2 to
configure properly on a different box (removable HD). The "old
system" worked fine with the SVGA X server, but on the "new"
system, I think I need the older S3 server. I know you can
switch servers with the XF86Setup utility, but XConfigurator
doesn't seem to have that ability (at least not obviously). Can
anyone give me direction on how to switch the X server on my
box? Again, I'm using RH 7.2.
