Apache, PHP, MySQL on Debian

Hello everyone:

I would like to know what would be the way to install
and configure APACHE, PHP (with Oracle support), and
MYSQL on Debian 3.0? 

Should I get the latest tarball versions of all these
and just compile it or should I just get the debian
packages and install them?

How well do these servers run on Debian? 
Is there a better distro for them?

Thanks in advance for all your help and sorry for all
