There's an open source implemenation of DOS called FreeDOS at freedos.org I 
think. There are floppy images floating around out there which are what I use to 
upgrade my BIOS. This make also work for Symantec's thing. ... Partition Magic 
comes with some of these tools, too, doesn't it?
