Keyboard problems

Need  help  with  a  continuing  problem.

I  can't  seem  to  get  this  keyboard  configured  right.

I'm  running  Mandrake  PPC  8.2  on  an  iMac.

I  continue  to  get  a  double-space  effect  when  pressing  the 
space  bar,  as  you  can  likely  see  here  in  my  typing.

The  console  reports  single  spaces,  but  still  I  get  double.

Any  ideas  on  what  might  be  wrong?
