Sound Problem

Download and install webmin
http://www.webmin.com

It has a gui for alot of things including SAMBA... 

It really helped me to learn a few of the daemons that I didn't know what ot 
do. You make the change using Webmin then go look at the conf file and see 
what was changed or added.
