Apache Install Woes

When I do this, I get:

I guess that means that gcc isn't installed.

I got this far on my own. I went to the GNU Home Page
(http://www.gnu.org/software/gcc/gcc.html) and started to try to grab a copy
of Gcc, but got intimidated. I began to think that simply wiping my Linux
Box clean and starting over might be a better idea. Then I decided to try
the LUGList first.

You say that getting a copy of gcc "depends on my distro." How? I'm running
LinuxPPC 2000. I used it (even though I don't think it's still supported)
because I couldn't get the Yellow Dog (the current favorite distro for the
Mac) boot manager to install properly.
