xdm error

I thought I was using kdm, it does the check in the rc script for it. Tried
launching startx from the start up scripts, that didn't work either,
something in the path settings. May be something wrong with kdm too. I may
try putting the startx in a later rc file. I'll also check the
DISPLAYMANAGER$ string and see if there is something wrong there. And to top
it all off the Yast2 configuration control program doesn't work in KDE
anymore. Just another beautiful day in the neighborhood.
