Setting up and configuring X on RHAT 6.2 is through the 'XF86Setup' utility
Shipped with your distribution. It was not installed by default so if you
didn't select 'choose individual packages' and install it by hand then you
don't have it installed.
If X runs at all, then pop in the RHAT cd, mount it and install the packages
XFree86_XF86Setup<versionnumber> and XFree86_VGA16<versionnumber> server on
the system. Quit X and run XF86Setup while logged in as root. Tell it 'no' to
reconfiguration and then tweak the display to your heart's content.
If X is not running, you will have to mount to cd by hand, enter the
/Redhat/RPMS directory and install the packages using 'rpm -i
<packagename-mentioned-above>' command. They will install without a hitch and
you can run XF86Setup after that to finish reconfiguring your video.

Hope this helps.
