New Meeting Location?

As someone who only attended one meeting, due to the fact I work nights (have one in the daytime ;) ) the only hardware issue I know of, was they didn't have wireless access for the longest time (by the posts I read). Around the time I first got interested heavily in Linux, and attended the meeting, I got a second job, and started working 7 days a week. That lasted 3 years and I had 6 days off between them (and the second one still wants me back).
Now I actually have next Tuesday off, and am wondering if there is going to be a meeting since it is Thanksgiving week?
I still wonder what the fuss is about changing the meeting? For those of us south, it seems where it is would be fine, are they kicking us out?
