OT: using a WRT54G as a wireless bridge?

I have a couple WRT54Gs, sorry I don't have the version handy. They
are at least a year and half old. Out of the box, they would not do
wireless bridge, but with third-party firmware I managed to get it
working. I was running Talisman from Sveasoft for that functionality.
I had problems with losing connectivity and no longer needed the
bridging after moving, so I switched back to the factory firmware.
YMMV.
