Linux system rescue distribution

Systemrescuecd has saved my ass and my HDD more than once.  I use it from CD
for more compatibility.  I was able to rescue a dead partition table after a
failed partial Linux install. (Don't tap your foot next to the power
strip.)  I think the tool was gpart.
