Linux radio question

Last time I asked this question all I got back was "Google".  I _thought_ I 
saw an application that was touting itself as a dedicated web radio browser, 
but I didn't have time for it then and I don't remember what it was now.

Microsoft has it's media indexes - I've never much cared how they did that, 
but it has to be a form of XML that others could duplicate pretty easily.
