free laptop spam

Anybody seen the recent rash of free laptop spam and associated free electronics spam?  I started getting a ton of these in my Yahoo mail account last week.  They apparently want you to jump thru various hoops and do some other non-free things to get it.  I was just looking over how this worked for the inevitable flood of spyware/malware removal requests.  Anyone know anything further?    TANSTAAFL
