Jim,

Thanks for your email.

Parking: Yes, heavy items may be dropped off at the door and left while
parking is arranged. A security officer is posted at the door most of
the time - also the staff at the information desk is very helpful. =20

Using the Annex Board Room is an option. The administrative annex
closes at 5 pm, therefore, a security officer would need to be in the
building while your meeting is in session, and your group would be
responsible for those costs.=20

I understand your concerns. Let me know your final decision.

Marty,
Sorry I didn't get back with you sooner.

The reason we only booked the July meetings is so that we could work out

the few issues we have with the facility.=20

The first problem was parking. The garages charge $2 after 6, and we're

cheap. There is parking on the street, but that can get to be quite a=20
distance. One problem we have is that sometimes people need to bring=20
whole computers to the meeting. Full tower, monitor, keyboard, mouse,=20
etc. and it doesn't work real well to carry that kind of stuff real=20
far. Would it work out for us to be able to pull up in front of the=20
main doors, unload a bunch of stuff, have the guards watch it while we=20
go find a parking place, come back, go to the meeting, and then reverse=20
the whole process at the end? Do you have another option to address the

parking concerns some of our members had?

Second, we may outgrow the 312 room. Would that larger room, I believe=20
it's the executive board room in the annex, be available to us? I know=20
it's more expensive, but is it larger? Could we reserve that and 312,=20
so that we could be bumped from the board room if you get a paying=20
customer? Something we would like to consider.

The electrical plug ins in the floor in the middle of room 312 didn't=20
seem to open up properly. They have a protective cover that doesn't=20
quite line up. Just a small issue, but you could mention it to the=20
facilities folks.

So, the jury is still out on making the downtown library our "permanent"

meeting place. We really enjoyed the room, and the rest of the=20
library. It's very nice.

Thanks for all your help,
Jim Herrmann
