After using g4u you can use www.systemrescuecd.org  or www.sysresccd.org disk to resize partitions. 
 From the boot prompt make sure you type fb1024 or fb600 to get framebuffer mode.  41 for US 
keymap.  Then when the the cli comes up, do run_qtparted.
