I use eFax. eFax is an online service that receives faxes and sends
them to you via email.

I get less than a couple of faxes a month so I use the free (adware
supported) service, but they have an inexpensive subscription service
that gives you a local fax number. They have fax sending software for
the 'doze platform, and while I have not tried it, I saw a linux/posix
version posted on source forge.

(BTW, I find that I get far fewer junk faxes with the LD fax number!!!)

If you examine how Bill Gates funded research into solving the social issues he is concerned about
las year, you would notice that he is 14 times more concerned about the global threat of Linux than
he is about AIDS.

This is understandable when you consider the method of transmission. I suspect Bill is probably
much more likely to get Linux than he is to get AIDS!!! After all, you can download and install
Linux by yourself!
